1. About us
Ceylon Routes arranges travel bookings on your behalf through trusted supplier and booking partners.
Insert ATOL number under which bookings are protected]
Where your booking includes a flight and other travel services, it may be protected under the ATOL scheme. Where applicable, you will receive an ATOL Certificate confirming this protection and identifying the ATOL holder responsible for it.
2. Making a booking
A booking is confirmed once we have received your agreement to the relevant costs and any required deposit or payment. By booking with us, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of everyone named on the booking, including any dependants.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are subject to change by suppliers prior to confirmation of your booking. Once confirmed, price changes will only be made where permitted by law or by the relevant supplier's own terms (for example, due to currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, or government-imposed changes).
4. Changes and cancellations by you
If you wish to change or cancel a booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellation charges may apply and will depend on the terms of the specific supplier(s) involved in your booking. We will always confirm the applicable charges before processing a cancellation.
5. Changes and cancellations by suppliers
Occasionally, a supplier may need to change or cancel part of your travel arrangements. Where this happens, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible and help you explore the available options, which may include an alternative arrangement or a refund, depending on the supplier's own terms.
6. Travel documents, passports, and visas
It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party hold valid passports, visas, and any other documentation required for your trip, including any health or entry requirements. We are happy to advise where we can, but the final responsibility for compliance rests with the traveller.
7. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that all travellers take out comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking, to cover cancellation, medical costs, and other unforeseen circumstances.
8. Our responsibility for your booking
As your booking agent, we act as an intermediary between you and the suppliers providing your travel or visa-related services (such as airlines, hotels, tour operators, and cruise lines). Except where we are found to be negligent, our liability is limited to the careful selection and booking of these suppliers on your behalf. The suppliers themselves are responsible for the services they provide.
9. Complaints
If something goes wrong during your trip, please raise it with the relevant supplier at the earliest opportunity, as many issues can only be resolved locally and at the time. If you remain unsatisfied, please contact us in writing within 28 days of your return, and we will do our best to assist in resolving the matter with the supplier.
10. Data protection
Any personal information you provide will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Force majeure
We cannot accept liability for any failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, industrial action, or government intervention.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
